PURPOSE: A card inquiring device in which a modem and a card inquirer are combined is provided to save a cost by driving the card inquirer by a power unit, a storing unit, and a control unit of the modem. CONSTITUTION: A card inquirer is controlled by a control unit of a modem for inputting and outputting settlement money information for a user and outputting settlement approval information. The card inquirer has a card reading unit(300) for reading information recorded in a card and transmitting read information to the control unit, and a display unit(310) for displaying settlement money information and card approval information according to a display control signal of the control unit. The card inquirer has an output unit(320) for outputting a slip including settlement money and card approval contents according to an output control signal of the control unit, and a connector(290) for receiving a power and the control signal from the modem.
