PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color imaging apparatus which is excellent in durability, low in cost and consumes very little electricity. SOLUTION: As to a color imaging apparatus comprising an optical deflector having a bearing which rotatably supports a rotary polyhedral mirror for deflecting light emitted from a light source, a plurality of scanning optical systems 51-54 provided with an optical system for condensing the light deflected by the optical deflector on an image carrying body and a photosensitive drums (image carrying bodies) 1C, 1M, 1Y, 1BK corresponding to each of the scanning optical systems 51-54, and forming a color image by transmitting the light emitted from the scanning optical systems 51-54 to the surfaces of photosensitive drums 1C, 1M, 1Y, 1BK corresponding to each of them, forming images with different color lights on the surface of the photosensitive drums and forming color image by fixing the image formed on the surfaces of the plurality of the photosensitive drum on a transfer member P, at least one of bearing members of the optical defector of the scanning optical systems 51-54 is different from the bearing members of the optical defector of the other scanning optical systems. |
