PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out appropriate cleaning which matches the ambient temperature by changing the number of times and timing of the cleaning by detecting the ambient temperature, in a cleaning mode in a fixing device. SOLUTION: In an image recorder, an outside temperature detecting means detecting the ambient temperature and a cleaning control means to clean the melt sticking agent stuck to heat press part and a press part are provided. In this case, a cleaning time detecting means which changes the number of times of cleaning according to the ambient temperature, and detecting time from the start of cleaning is provided and the cleaning time is changed.
