PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment that can be reduced in size or can be expanded in internal space while the equipment maintains a mechanical strength. SOLUTION: A structure having a mechanical strength is integrally formed of hinges 41 and 42 which openably/closeably attach a lid-like display section 20 to the box-like main body section 10 of this electronic equipment and a portable handle 31 projected outside the main body section 10. Since no reinforcing plate is put in the main body section 10, the internal space of the section 10 becomes larger. Therefore, the section 10 can house an electronic circuit even when the size of the section 10 is reduced. In addition, the section 10 can maintain a sufficient mechanical strength by means of the structure.
