PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently dressing a grinding wheel without using a special dressing device, or conducting run-in grinding with a workpiece. SOLUTION: A dressing tool 12 of the same form and size as the workpiece 13 is held at a set position for the workpiece 13, and the grinding wheel 11 is shaped and dressed in the same control mode as that in grinding the workpiece.
