PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of conventional impregnation method comprising poor impregnation caused by the difference of resin varnish viscosity in the case of impregnating a varnish in a previously varnish-impregnated fiber substrate and by the variation of the amount of resin attached to the fiber substrate in the case of using a resin varnish dissolved with a solvent, etc., due to the effect of the solvent of the former resin varnish on the viscosity of the resin varnish for the subsequent impregnation. SOLUTION: A prepreg is produced by impregnating a fiber substrate with resin varnishes several times. In the case of impregnating a resin varnish in a fiber substrate subjected to at least one impregnation treatment, the impregnation of the varnish is carried out after heating the fiber substrate impregnated with the former resin varnish.
