PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device which solves the problem of a transmission error which occurs when such a time needed for CPU start-up processing is so long that exceeds a host-time-out time, if CPU first performs the start-up processing and then moves to a receiving operation, during returning from a power-saving mode. SOLUTION: In the printing device 10 connected by a serial bus to a host computer 20, which is a higher order device, prior to a CPU 151 in a printing control section 12 is moved into a power-saving mode, communication control information at moving from the power-saving mode to a normal transfer mode is set in a response control section 147 in advance. When the power-saving mode is removed, the response control section 147 can receive data based on the set communication control information without involvement by the CPU 151. |
