PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information apparatus easy to operate, and convenient to use at a carry destination. SOLUTION: This portable information apparatus comprises a body 1, a display panel 2, an angle sensor 5 for detecting an inclination of the body 1, one operating button 3, and a control circuit 6 for controlling a display panel 2. Based on the inclination (Θx,Θy) of the body 1 at the moment when pressing an operating button 3, the control circuit 6 obtains displacement (dΘx, dΘy) of inclination thereafter of the body, and control display on the display panel 2 in accordance with the displacement (dΘx, dΘy) of the inclination.
