PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite piezoelectric material, having a relatively high transmission intensity and reception sensitivity and can provide a directivity to transmitted sound waves. SOLUTION: The composite piezoelectric material 20 comprises a plurality of first sections 21, which are constituted of fine columnar piezoelectric ceramic sintered bodies and are disposed at a distance from each other, and a second section 22 which is formed of piezoelectric polymer and is disposed between the first sections 21. Typically, the piezoelectric high molecules are a copolymer of vinylidene fluoride and trifluoroethylene and are of null ductility material. |
