PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the drawback of a digital signal transmitter that the characteristic impedance of a transmission line varies significantly as the number of connected stations increases and distortion of a transmission waveform increases to disable normal transmission. SOLUTION: A receiving section outputting a transmission data signal, while converting the level as a digital signal, through a transmission line is provided with a function for setting a binary threshold level at the receiver input, and a function for switching the binary threshold level by inputting the output signal from a carrier detection circuit 54 to a threshold level control circuit 59.
