<p>Conventionally, much noise is included in a video and audio at and near the portion to which reproduction of an MPEG transport steam is jumped when the MPEG transport stream is decoded and displayed. A reproducing apparatus of the invention comprises a hard disk unit (208) for reading AV data recorded on a recording medium as an MPEG transport stream and reproducing the AV data and an AV transfer control block (211) for controlling the hard disk unit (208) in such a way that the hard disk unit (208) outputs, when a predetermined portion of the AV data is skipped during the reproduction, up to the last transport packet constituting the I frame before skipping the predetermined portion and outputs, after skipping the predetermined portion, the first transport packet of the next I frame and the subsequent packets.</p> |
