PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch a plurality of antennas without deteriorating the performance of transmission or reception. SOLUTION: In the radio equipment provided with two antennas 104 and 105 mounted on upper and lower cases which are foldable freely with hinges, a folding detection means 205 detects the folded state of the upper and lower cases and a receiving state detection means 204 detects the receiving state of a signal received by a reception circuit 202 through the antennas 104 and 105. Only when the circuit 2 is not in a receiving state as the result of these detection, the antennas 104 and 105 are switched by the switch control of a switch control means 203.
