PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the useless consumption of a battery of an electronic key, and lower the possibility of theft. SOLUTION: This keyless entry device 1 for a vehicle transmits the electromagnetic induction signal for exciting the electronic key 2 from a vehicle side device 3, and receives the discriminating signal transmitted from the electronic key in response to lock and unlock a door. In the case where the door is not opened till the predermined time passes after the vehicle side device 3 received the discriminating signal, transmission of the electromagnetic induction signal is stopped. With this structure, useless consumption of the battery due to the continuous response of the electronic key for a long time is prevented. |
