BREAKWATER FOR SOFT GROUND

PURPOSE: A breakwater for soft ground is provided to prevent breaking and blocking of surrounding portion of the soft ground by filling desirable size of sands and stones after removing a part of the soft ground over surface portion of the ground and assembling the breakwater on the position. CONSTITUTION: The breakwater(10) comprises at least one buoyant barrel(12) within lower section of a structure. The buoyant barrel(12) is formed to compensate and/or offset self-weight and the buoyant force to result in minimizing the self-weight delivered into the soft ground. The buoyant barrel(12) has bored wall(14) at the upper section and sub-wall(16) spaced from the bored wall(14) to support the bored wall. Alternatively, the breakwater may have a number of buoyant barrels together with double-stages of bored walls on front and rear sides of the breakwater.
