PURPOSE: A hierarchically structured data communication system is provided to carry out real-time remote education for a great number of lecture participants at a low price by presenting a communication system in which small network structures are formed hierarchically. CONSTITUTION: A hierarchically structured data communication system consists of a server(10), a plurality of terminals(20-1-20-N-2) for participation in lectures, and an LNU(Layer Network Unit)(30). The LNU(30) has a routing structure diagram and a parents recommendation function. The server(10) is connected with the terminals(20-1-20-N-2) through the Internet or a network, which can connects many areas, based on a real-time protocol. Based on the routing structure diagram, the server(10) provides routing information in a software way.
