PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light stability testing method capable of keeping a designated temperature to make an accurate test. SOLUTION: This light stability testing method for testing stability to light of an intraocular lens exposed to an ultraviolet ray from a light source includes a process of putting the intraocular lens and a physiological saline solution in a transparent container and then sealing the transparent container, a process of installing the transparent container in a water thermostat having a cooling means and a heating means through a fitting means, a process of cooling the water in the water thermostat, the temperature of which is raised due to heat generation of the light source by a cooling means and heating the water cooled to an excess by the heating means to keep the water temperature in the water thermostat to a designated temperature, and a process of applying ultraviolet rays to the intraocular lens in the transparent container only during the period fixed according to the irradiation intensity of ultraviolet rays emitted by the light source.
