PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an ink-jet recording ink which is produced by using a pigment and/or a polymer fine particle and enables to give stable prints; and to provide a method for producing the ink. SOLUTION: The ink-jet recording ink comprises a pigment and/or a polymer fine particle and is characterized by having an A/B value of 0.2 and less, wherein a rolling-ball viscosity measurement method is applied to the ink at 20 deg.C to measure the viscosities at several different inclination angles θ away from a horizontal face and then the viscosities and the sine values of corresponding inclination angles (SINθ) are applied into the following liner equation: Y=AX+B [X: a sine of angle θ (SINθ), Y: a measured viscosity (mPa.s), A: an absolute value of slope, B: a value of Y if X is extrapolated to zero (zero shear viscosity (mPa.s))] to calculate the A/B. |
