PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adaptively set the area of interest(AOI) in accordance with a tissue to be used for exercise in an ultrasonic diagnostic instrument. SOLUTION: A first offset line is fixed along the contour of a binary image where an object is extracted, a second offset line is fixed along the first offset line and the AOI is defined as a region enclosed by the two offset lines. An evaluation value (an IB value, etc.), for evaluating the condition of a heart wall is calculated in the AOI and the information are synthesized and displayed on an ultrasonic image. |
