The grommet (6) for the cable lead-in housing (1) has one or more longitudinal slits for insertion of cable and is designed so that the surfaces of the slits have at least one spring-slit connection. The slit-spring connection is dimensioned in such a manner, that with the closing of the cable lead-in housing the slit spring connection already grips one in the other, before the remaining surfaces of the longitudinal slit contact each other.
