PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing an ink in a printer capable of accurately removing the ink from a dampening roller or the like by a simple means for changing attaching or detaching timing of a conventional roller or the like without using a rider roller or the like and having high general purpose properties. SOLUTION: The method for removing the ink of the printer comprises an ink removing step of attaching a form roller 5 and the dampening roller 2 to a plate cylinder 1 and setting the roller 2 to a state in which the roller 2 is removed from a transfer roller 4 of a water supply unit.
