A method of making a heat metal treated silicoaluminophosphate molecular sie ve comprising: a) providing a silicoaluminophosphate molecular sieve containing a template; b) mixing a metal containing solution with said silicoaluminophosphate molecular sieve containing a template; c) heating the mixture obtained at step b) to a temperature between 120~C and 400~C to obta in a heat metal treated silicoaluminophosphate molecular sieve from the metal containing solution; and d) separating the heat metal treated silicoaluminophosphate molecular sieve from the metal containing solution; a nd d) calcining the heat metal treated silicoaluminophosphate molecular sieve t o provide a calcined heat metal treated silicoaluminophosphate molecular sieve .
