The ball bearing for supporting an internal movable structure (2) rotating inside an outer fixed or movable structure (1) comprises a set of balls (3). An outer bearing race ensures contact between the balls and the external structure. A squeeze film oil damper is located in the annular contact surface (5) between the race and the external structure. The lateral circular surfaces of the outer race are in contact with washer shaped lateral joints between which the race is clamped.
