SUBSTANCE: device has hollow electrodynamic mechanism accommodating current-limiting element in the form of ferromagnetic conducting-material rod possessing high temperature coefficient of resistance which is placed inside magnetic core. Electrodynamic mechanism has two fixed and one movable parts. Current-limiting element is connected to fixed parts of electrodynamic mechanism by means of rod. Wall thickness of conducting material used for building movable and fixed parts of electrodynamic mechanism is chosen to be not less than penetration depth of electromagnetic wave in this conductor.
