PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core pin for manufacturing a multiple capillary having no pointed part that causes damage to an optical fiber. SOLUTION: The base 10 of the core pin 100 is given a track shape in the cross section free from a sharply indented recess. Also, the neck part 11a, 12a of pins 11, 12 for the base 10 is given a curved shape on the surface. As a result, in inserting a coated optical fiber into its hole in the multiple capillary, the optical fiber is prevented from being damaged, and reliability is thereby increased.
