PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power of an electromagnetic contactor to be excited after detection of power stoppage, by omitting the electromagnetic contactor for breaking the main circuit and the circuit of a motor, and to elongate the time of occurrence of braking force to lower the speed of a carrier car safely by using a part of the motor as a generator. SOLUTION: In a linear motor which is driven by the main circuit composed of switching elements 4-9, an inductance 11 is interposed in a short circuit which brakes the motor by short-circuiting the lines of itself at power failure. |
