APPARATUS FOR FABRICATING SYMMETRICAL OPTICAL FIBER GRATING USING REFLECTION MIRROR

PURPOSE: An apparatus for fabricating a symmetrical optical fiber grating using a reflection mirror is provided, which decreases the birefringence of an optical fiber to remarkably reduce a variation in the peak of the grating due to polarization. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for fabricating a symmetrical optical fiber grating using a reflection mirror includes a light source generating rays of light for fabricating the optical fiber grating, and lenses(10,20) for spreading the rays of light generated by the light source and transmitting the spread rays of light in parallel. The apparatus further has reflection mirrors(30,40) which are periodically moved by a motor and focuses the rays of light transmitted from the lenses to irradiate the focused rays of light around an optical fiber(60).
