PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve adhesion to a magnesium alloy and also to attain the improvement of corrosion resistance and the hardening of surface while maintaining the lustrous appearance characteristic of Mg. SOLUTION: The magnesium alloy has a thin film on the surface, and this thin film is constituted of an amorphous structure consisting of magnesium alloy. The apparatus for manufacturing the magnesium alloy is provided with a multi-target type plasma generation mechanism, a sample stage having a revolution mechanism, and a sample fixing jig having a rotation mechanism. The method for manufacturing the magnesium alloy has a step of uniformly depositing a magnesium thin film on the surface of a sample.
