METHOD FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING OF MOLTEN METAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide continuous casting operation technology for manufacturing a slab for manufacturing steel products having excellent slab surface cleanability and the cleanability of the inside of the slab as well. SOLUTION: This continuous casting method for molten metal for manufacturing the slab having the excellent cleanability on the surface of the slab and within the slab consists in stirring and manufacturing the molten steel in a pair of casting molds by using an immersion nozzle having a downwardly facing discharge hole heading toward the transverse direction of the casting molds and a slit-like aperture communicating with this discharge hole in the lower part of an internal longitudinal hole and continuously or intermittently impressing electromagnetic force to the molten steel in the casting molds in manufacturing aluminum deoxidized steel by using continuous casting equipment.
