PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an upper plate of a plasma display panel is provided to align easily electrodes and improve an accuracy of alignment by forming a sustain electrode on a bus electrode. CONSTITUTION: A bus electrode material(3) is patterned on a glass substrate(1). A bus electrode(3) is formed on the glass substrate(1) by using a photo process and an etching process. A transparent electrode material such as an ITO(Indium Tin Oxide) is deposited on the bus electrode(3). The transparent electrode material is patterned. A dielectric layer(4) is formed on the whole face of the glass substrate(1). A protective layer(5) is formed on the dielectric layer(4).
