PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To well manufacture a long composite material wherein a coating layer is formed on the outer peripheral surface of a long core material forming a cross-sectional shape having an inner space and an opening edge part on its rear surface side. SOLUTION: A long core material 3 forming a cross-sectional shape having an inner space and an opening edge part on its rear surface side is longitudinally fed in a mold apparatus 11 for extruding a soft coating material 4A by a feed-in device 25. The soft coating layer continued to the mold apparatus in the longitudinal direction of the outer peripheral surface of the core material is molded and the core material is taken over from the mold apparatus by a taking-over device 31. The coating layer continued to the mold apparatus is cut on the rear side of the core material by a cutter 51 to obtain a long composite material wherein the coating layer is provided on the outer peripheral surface in the longitudinal direction of the core material.
