PURPOSE: A device for controlling a power amplifier in a radio terminal is provided to control the power amplifier by considering a response characteristic of a nonlinear amplifier. CONSTITUTION: A memory(100) divides a control section of an amplifier(130) into determined sections according to an output level of the amplifier(130), and stores slope and intercept data according to output level changes of each section. The amplifier(130) amplifies a signal inputted by a determined control signal, and outputs the amplified signal. A controller(100) outputs a determined control signal for controlling the amplifier(130) by the slope and the intercept data.
