PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head cleaner 14 rotating in contact with the tape sliding surface of a rotary magnetic head 4 used for a magnetic recording/reproducing device to eliminate a foreign matter stuck to the tape sliding surface of the head, having a strong cleaning effect for surely eliminating the foreign matter firmly stuck to the rotary magnetic head 4, facilitating the miniaturization, the reduction of noise and the improvement of reliability of the magnetic recording/reproducing device and having sufficient durability to the rotary magnetic head 4 rotated at a high speed. SOLUTION: The contact part 19 of the head cleaner 14 for performing cleaning in contact with the tape sliding surface of a head is formed in a cylindrical shape by alternately folding continuous sheet-like unwoven cloth in bellows form.
