REFLECTOR FOR ILLUMINATION AND ILLUMINATOR USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a decrease in adhesive strength between a neck portion of a reflector and a lamp bulb caused by aging. SOLUTION: A glass-made, hollow-shaped reflector for illumination includes a neck portion formed integrally at its outer convex face-side. The neck portion has a thin dielectric film coated on its inner surface. The thin dielectric film has a film thickness distribution in which the film thickness is thick at the reflector-side and thin at the end-side of the neck portion.
