摘要 The invention relates to a device which can replace any other two-dimensional pointing device, such as the computer mouse, and obtain a force feedback according to two dimensions. The device provides a means of simulating realistic haptic sensations and comprises the following: a mobile carriage (2), which moves rectilinearly on the plane (10) of the fixed working surface, without sliding and according to the X axis, by means of wheels (3, 4), said wheels being providing on the lower part of the carriage and being in contact with the working surface; a flat top (1) which moves rectilinearly on top of the carriage, without sliding and according to the Y axis, by means of wheels (6, 27), said wheels being provided on the upper part of the carriage and having no contact with the fixed working surface. The two axes X and Y are orthogonal. The combination of the two movements allows the hand of the user, which is placed on the top, to describe a plan. Each axis is provided with a motor and a position sensor.
