The appliance has a closed circuit incorporating the pipe (138) line to be cleaned, a pressure monitor (600), and two cleaning devices (A,A'). Each cleaning device has a hollow-cylindrical tank (6,6'), filled with a hard granular material (630), and with a filter net unit in its lower section and a filter unit in its upper section. For cleaning, a pressurized fluid is supplied through the pressure monitor, which circulates the granular material through the pipe line, to loosen any deposits on the inside walls of the pipes.
