PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light and safe pneumatic tire for high-speed heavy load with good fatigue resistance. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire for high-speed heavy load comprises a pair of side walls 3 connected to each of a pair of bead portions 2 between one or more bead cores 5 embedded in the bead portions 2, and a carcass 6 comprising a plurality of plies for reinforcing treads 4 arranged in a toroidal shape on both side walls 3. In the carcass 6, the number of cord placings of the outside carcass plies in the tire radius direction is reduced and the number of cord placings of the inside carcass plies between at least one pair of adjacent plies. An auxiliary rubber layer 11 having a vulcanizing speed higher than that of a cord coating rubber of the inside carcass plies is disposed between the carcass plies with a different number of cord placings.
