PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light deflector capable of improving the mirror planarity and balance characteristics of a polygon mirror and preventing the deterioration of the adhering strength of an adhesive even then a fluctuation of temperature is generated, and to provide a method of manufacturing and adhering the light deflector by preventing the deterioration of the adhering strength by preventing such failure that the adhered part of the adhesive is easily peeled. SOLUTION: This light deflector is provided with a rotating body 15 having a polygon mirror 17, a bearing 20 formed at the rotating body, and a magnet 22 fixed to the rotating body. In this case, the magnet is adhered to the rotating body or the rotating body is adhered to the bearing through the adhesive whose Young's modulus after hardening is 100N/square mm or less, and the thermal expansion rate of the adhesive is made larger than that of the rotating body. Also, at the time of adhering them by using an anaerobic adhesive with a hardening promoter containing ammine-based organic materials, the accumulative dose of lights which is 400 nm or less on the applied face of the hardening promoter is limited to 1500 mJ.cm-2 or less. |
