PURPOSE: A computer system which changes a line size among a CPU, a cache memory and a main memory is provided to improve an efficiency of a cache memory by changing a line size. CONSTITUTION: A domain of a main memory(300) is divided into a plurality of domains. A cache memory(200) and a CPU(100) are connected to respectively different line size each split domain(310,320,330). Data stored in the split domains(310,320) is written in the cache memory(200) through a line size A or a line size B connected to relevant split domain(310,320) in case that a miss penalty is generated. A line size is easily recognized when addresses of the main memory(300) are decoded. Data stored in the split domain(330) is connected to directly a register in the CPU(100) through a line size C.
