PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human engineering napkin in consideration of the shape of the crotch of a woman for enhancing laterally leakage preventive effect and putting a rising cuff in soft contact with her skin at its free edge. SOLUTION: A gathered cuff has a rising line L1 inside in the cross direction and a free edge L2 outside in the cross direction, where an outward rising cuff is formed. Elastically flexible members 22A, 22B are arranged between the rising line L1 and the free edge L2. The elastically flexible member 22A, most outward in the cross direction, is located inside in the cross direction beyond the free edge L2.
