PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized waterproof connector with enhanced sealing. SOLUTION: The waterproof connector M is equipped with a housing 11 having a plurality of terminal accommodation chambers 111, a mat-form rubber plug 14 having a plurality of electric wire insertion holes 141 corresponding to the terminal accommodation chambers 111 and mounted on the tail of the housing 11 and a rear holder 15 to press the rubber plug 14 to the housing 11, wherein a compressing in the radial direction of the hole 141 is generated in the rubber plug 14 by fitting with pressure a pressing projection 152 provided on the front surface of the rear holder 15 into a recess 143 formed at the rear surface of the rubber plug 14, and the attachment of the rubber plug 14 to an electric wire W threaded through the hole 141 is increased by this compressing. The recess 143 is formed at the rear surface of the rubber plug 14 while a cylindrical thick part 142 is left around each electric wire inserting hole 141 in the rubber plug 14, and a plurality of cylindrical thick parts 142 adjoining are put together so that blocks B1-B4 are formed.
