A glass panel/window which enables continuously variable light transmission has many applications in various branches of industry and everyday life, which often result in valuable and significant savings in power consumption and improved living standards, and has been developed from the liquid crystal display (LCD) conceptual method. A homogeneous distribution of the liquid crystals is obtained which results in a variation in the position and in the degree of transmittance by the application of a controlled DC voltage.
