PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating apparatus also serving as a pump allowing selective use of its two function by intentionally adjusting between the heating function and the force feed function according to various external factors. SOLUTION: The heating apparatus 15 also serving as a pump is disposed in a cooling fluid circulation circuit of a liquid-cooled engine E. This device is provided with an auxiliary pump 30 for pressure feeding cooling fluid and a throttle 40 which can adjust the opening of a valve disposed on the downstream side. The opening of the throttle 40 is adjusted by an actuator controlled by a controller. The controller determines an appropriate opening of the throttle 40 based on the external information from various sensors.
