PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of a motor, by holding a shaft and fixing a head and carriage by the deformation of piezo-electric element caused by a piezo-electric control signal, when the carriage comes to a specified position of a disc. CONSTITUTION:A head 1 is fixed on a carriage 2, and the carriage 2 is mated with a shaft 3 being allowed free action towards the arrow direction. Also the carriage 2 is connected by a steel belt 5 to the pulley 5 which is attached to a driving shaft 4a of a stepping motor 4 which fixed on the floppy disc device main body, therefore the carriage 2 moves corresponding to the rotation of the stepping motor 4. As shown in the cross section diagram of mating part 7 of the carriage and the shaft 3, a piezo-electric element is provided on the carriage 2 against the shaft 3, and this element is so designed that it may deform towards the shaft 3 side when the power is on. |
