PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp the entire operating conditions visually, simply and accurately by providing a management information display area and a measurement information display area on a display screen and displaying common information of the entire apparatus constantly in the management information display area. SOLUTION: A display screen 11 is divided into an upper area 12 for displaying management information and a lower area 13 for displaying measurement information. Common information of the entire apparatus is displayed constantly in the upper area 12 regardless of switching of screen in the lower area 13. A predetermined screen is displayed in the lower area 13 depending on the switching and an area for listing a plurality of selective items related to the screen operation, as required, is displayed at a part of the screen. The name of a screen displayed in the lower area 13, current date, an icon indicating the recording state of data in a memory, bar graphs indicating use of a display memory and a measurement memory respectively, remaining storable time of the display memory, and measurement information related to the device, e.g. the type of external memory, are displayed in the upper area 12.
