PURPOSE: A discharge rate change system of an air conditioner is provided to adjust air flow precisely without adopting a complicated motor control circuit. CONSTITUTION: Indoor air is cooled through an evaporator and discharged to a discharge unit(64) along a scroll(63) when a fan(58) sucks the indoor air. Herein, the rpm(revolutions per minute) of the fan is decided by rpm of a motor, and the discharge amount of air is decided by the rpm of the fan. When the fan is rotated at specific rpm, a switch(8) is operated and a motor(7) is rotated. An isolating blade(3) connected with the motor and a pinion(4) is rotated to isolate a part of a duct(59). A vortex is generated from the isolating blade and the cold air is scattered thereby. Air scattering corresponds to size and rotation angle of the isolating blade. When air flow is reduced by resistance of the isolating blade, another air flow is controlled in a rotational area of the motor. A user turns off the switch when the isolating blade stops working. The motor is rotated reversely and the isolating blade is attached to the wall of the duct. Therefore, the resistance is not generated any longer.
