PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin electric connector assembly projecting from a circuit board and an electric connector used therefor when a pair of connectors and a mating connector are fitted to each other. SOLUTION: This electric connector assembly 1 comprises an electric connector A and a mating connector B fitting to the connector A. The contact 10 of the electric connector is arranged in a housing 20 so that a receptacle contacting part 11 and the axial direction of a wire connecting part are perpendicular to the inserting direction of a mating contact 40. Locking parts 24, 27 of the housing 20 are locked to a part 16 of the receptacle contacting part 11 in the opposite position of the mating contact 40 in the inserting direction of the mating contact 40. |
