PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape for press winding an electric wire cable capable of exfoliating the sheath in good workmanship, allowing easy wiring, and free of generation of crevice at the time of exfoliating the sheath. SOLUTION: A sample of a tape of approx. 10 cm wide formed of a non- woven cloth of polyester long fibers is overlapped on a sample of sheath of approx. 10 cm wide consisting of polyethylene sheet, and in the condition with a load of 2.7 kg/100 cm2 pressed it is subjected to a 10-min heat treatment in the atmosphere with 240 deg.C±2 deg.C and left at room temp. for 30 min, and then the load is changed to 0.6 kg/100 cm2, and the material is left in this condition for 10 min so that a joint body of the tape with sheath is accomplished, wherein the sustaining force against a forced exfoliating attempt with an exfoliation speed of 10 cm/min is made below 8 kg/10 cm wide.
