PURPOSE: An apparatus for driving an optical unit of a video apparatus is provided for implementing a stable video data reading operation and an easier fabrication of an optical unit driving apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A video reading member(12) is positioned below a manuscript stand for reading a video data through a lens(12a). A shaft(13) is installed at a lower portion for horizontally moving a video reading member(12). A main bracket(11) receives the video reading member(12). A main bracket(11a) inserted into the shaft(13) is integrally formed for a horizontal guide movement by the shaft(13). Fixing shafts(11b, 11b') are upwardly protruded from both ends of the upper surface. The video reading member(12) is fixed at one side, and fixing shaft holes(15a, 15a') are integrally formed at the other side.
