The method involves using a time frame-structured protocol, especially using medium access control or MAC frames with communications for terminals (21-28) in a first frame region and information from terminals in a second frame region, whereby the terminals ignore the central station's communications for one or more frames (91-97). Terminals in different groups (31-33) receive communications in different frames. Independent claims are also included for a centre for transferring communications to terminals in a preferably wireless telecommunication system and for a terminal for communications in a preferably wireless telecommunication system.
