摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchange system having a leakage detection means capable of detecting leakage with a high sensitivity when sea water as cooling water leaks into condensate. SOLUTION: In a heat exchange system comprising a condenser 4 using sea water as a cooling medium and a sea water detection means 14 inserted in a condensate piping system in the downstream of the condenser, a cation exchange means for exchanging Na+ ion deriving from the sea water leaking into the condensate for H+ ion, and a means for detecting electric conductivity of the condensate passing through the cation exchange means, are provided. Since regeneration of cation exchange is performed continuously when an EDI system is used as the cation exchange means, maintenance becomes easy and stability of detection sensitivity is enhanced. In a heat exchange system in which corrosion prevention by injection of ammonium into the condensate is designed, the EDI system is used as a condenser deminar interposed in the condensate piping system in the downstream of the condenser 4.
